Recipients of Dubai Equine Science Scholarships Announced

The second group of Chinese university students to be awarded the Dubai Equine Science Scholarships (DESS) has been announced.

Launched in 2015, DESS is designed to provide financial support to Chinese Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine students who have a particular interest in equine studies.

Selected according to GPA results combined with an application form, two recipients from each of China’s leading agricultural universities (Inner Mongolia Agricultural University, Xinjiang Agricultural University, China Agricultural University, Qingdao Agricultural University, Nanjing Agricultural University, Wuhan Business College and South China Agricultural University) will be awarded RMB 15,000 to cover their tuition fees and living expenses during their final year of university.

Godolphin director Joe Osborne said: ”We are delighted by the level of interest shown in DESS again this year. The standard of applicant was very high and it is very encouraging for the future of horse breeding in China to see such talented students with an interest in this field.”
